HOUSTON — Whether you’re heading downtown for the Twins-Astros game or anything else this weekend, there’s an emergency closure you’ll want to know about.
According to the Texas Department of Transportation, crews will need to shut down all northbound lanes of I-45 at I-69 beginning Saturday at 4 a.m. The closure is expected to last until 5 a.m. Monday.
The closure is so that emergency repair work can be done to the I-45 southbound exit ramp to McKinney.
To get around it, take the I-45 northbound ramp to I-69 northbound. Follow that to the 610 North Loop westbound and follow the loop westbound to I-45 northbound or southbound.
