HOUSTON — The Hardy Toll Road from Parker Road to the North Loop shut down at 11 a.m. Friday to allow CenterPoint Energy to continue working on power restoration efforts after Beryl tore through the region.
The Harris County Toll Road Authority said both the northbound and southbound lanes will be totally closed while repairs are underway.
HCTRA said a few other spots will be closed nearby out of an abundance of caution:
- Westbound North Loop entrance ramp to northbound Hardy Toll Road will be closed
- Southbound Crosstimbers Street exit ramp will be closed
Additionally, drivers headed southbound on the Hardy Toll Road will be forced to take the Parker Road/Tidwell Road exit ramp.
The closure comes as CenterPoint reported more than 800,000 customers still without power in the Houston area Friday morning.
