HOUSTON — Houston police are investigating a fiery car crash that killed one person on the Gulf Freeway early Friday.
This happened around 1 a.m. on the inbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway near Clear Lake City.
According to police, the victim crashed into TxDOT crash cushions before the vehicle caught fire while they were still inside.
The victim's name hasn't been released.
At this time, it is not known what caused the crash.
The freeway remained closed for several hours before clearing ahead of the morning rush hour.
