610/South Loop westbound between Scott and Highway 288 will be closed through Saturday for construction

This closure is part of the ongoing Texas Clear Lanes project.

HOUSTON — The westbound lanes of the 610/South Loop between Scott and Highway 288 will be closed for half of the weekend due to construction.

The closure will start Friday, May 10 at 9 p.m. and last through Saturday, May 11 at 9 p.m.

Crews will be adding concrete barriers and striping this section of the highway as part of the ongoing Texas Clear Lanes project at 610 and Cambridge Street.

ALTERNATE ROUTES: Traffic can take the Scott Street exit to the 610 westbound frontage road and continue to the Scott Street entrance ramp onto the 620 westbound main lanes.

This is one of six projects included in the Texas Clear Lane projects, designed to improve traffic flow and connectivity, reduce congestion, add capacity, create better connectivity with Highway 299 and improve overall mobility in the surrounding area.
