LIBERTY COUNTY, Texas — The FM 787 bridge at the Trinity River remains closed after it partially collapsed overnight, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
TxDOT said the western approach slab collapsed due to high water weakening the bridge's supporting material.
Crews are working on an emergency maintenance contract to begin repairs when it is safe to do so.
On Monday, TxDOT closed the FM 787 bridge due to emergency repairs caused by high water.
To get around it, take FM 2518 to SH 105. That’s where you’ll head east to SH 146 and then go north on FM 787.
