HOUSTON — The Texans matchup against the Ravens on Christmas Day was already shaping up to be a marquee event—and one of the hottest tickets in town. But snagging a seat at NRG Stadium just got even pricier, thanks to Houston’s own Queen B. Beyoncé will take the stage at halftime for a performance streamed live on Netflix.
KHOU 11 spoke with a ticket broker who said prices have surged since the announcement. Just 24 hours ago, a lower-level ticket was selling for about $250. Today, those same tickets are going for around $350 through local brokers, with prices expected to climb even higher.
nside the Houston Texans Team Shop, Christian Hildalgo was picking up a few items. His birthday is today, and as a die-hard Texans fan, his family now has even more reason to celebrate.
"It’s not really my thing but I’ll definitely watch it just because it’s Beyoncé. She’s from Houston," he said.
In a surprise announcement, Beyoncé shared on social media that she’ll be performing at halftime during the Texans-Ravens game on Christmas Day.
"Awesome, awesome. It’s great just to see a performer and a game. That’s just going to hype me up right there," said fan Delia Rosales.
A Christmas Day game is always a coveted ticket, but adding Beyoncé into the mix has made it even hotter.
“Beyoncé made it more valuable for the City of Houston,” said Kayla Ramsey, a broker with Houston Ticket Store known as “The Ticket Queen.”
Ramsey said what she’s seeing locally aligns with national trends reported by ticket platforms like Vivid Seats. According to Vivid Seats, traffic to game day ticket pages has spiked by more than 700%, with prices rising rapidly.
"They were already high because the Ravens and the Texans are doing good. Everybody’s rooting for a good season, so they were already it’s a Christmas Day game," Ramsey said.
She also cautioned fans to beware of scams.
“Please be careful. Go through a broker,” she said.
Ramsey recommends avoiding social media purchases and sticking to reputable, preferably local, brokers.

As for fans, they’re hoping Netflix avoids streaming issues like the ones that plagued last Friday’s Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight.
"It better not have buffering this time. You hear me, Netflix?" Hidalgo said. "I’m telling you if they don’t win tonight, I’m gonna be mad, but I believe in them."
