NEWYORK, NY - The Houston Texans were successful when they picked defense last year.

In 2010, they decided to go back to that side of the ball and shore up the defensive backfield.

The Texans, who saw their top targets go before they picked at #20 overall, selected Alabama cornerback Kareem Jackson, who will try and replace former corner Dunta Robinson in the Texans secondary.

Oddly enough, Robinson was the last corner the Texans have taken in the first round(2004)before this year.

Jackson started every game for the National Champion Alabama Crimson Tide and finished the year with 49 tackles.

Houston had originally hoped to pick up either Fresno State running back Ryan Matthews or Texas safety Earl Thomas, but San Diego traded up to take Matthews at #12. Thomas was taken at #14 by Seattle.
