The Tom Savage era didn’t go as well as either the Houston Texans or Savage himself desired, but the former starting quarterback was nothing but a class act on and off the field during his years in Houston. Savage kept that up after being signed by the New Orleans Saints during free agency.
The Texans’ Week 1 starter in 2017 sent out a heartfelt and grateful message to everyone in Houston, from the fans to the trainers, the media, the front office and even the team’s support staff, Savage thanked them all for his four years with the franchise.
Even though his record and performance were not what fans wanted, Savage always stood tall and took the criticism. Good luck, Mr. Savage.
