Texans' Diggs leaves game against Indy after suffering non-contact knee injury

Diggs was seen on the CBS Sports broadcast going into the locker room after the injury.

HOUSTON — The Houston Texans have had their share of injuries this season, and on Sunday against the Colts, they suffered another one.

Receiver Stefon Diggs suffered a non-contact injury near the end of the third quarter of Houston's 23-20 win over Indianapolis and stayed down on the turf. During the CBS Sports broadcast, Diggs was seen going into the locker room to be evaluated.

The team confirmed Diggs suffered a knee injury and at first was questionable to return. He later was ruled out.

With receiver Nico Collins on the injured list, losing Diggs would be a big blow when it comes to weapons for quarterback CJ Stroud to throw to. Fortunately for Houston, veteran Robert Woods is back from injury and Tank Dell has stayed healthy so far this year.

Houston has played through big injuries so far this season. Running back Joe Mixon missed three games and his backup, Dameon Pierce, missed four games.

The Texans have a short week before a Thursday night game against the New York Jets.
