HOUSTON — If you weren’t already pumped for the Houston Texans season opener, former Texans legend JJ Watt has you covered.
The Texans released their hype video on social media Thursday, and it features Watt talking about the upcoming season – one of the most anticipated in franchise history.
The team had a remarkable turnaround last season after multiple years at the bottom of the AFC South. The Texans’ turnaround included a trip to the playoffs and a rout of Cleveland in the first round.
So coming into this season, there are plenty of expectations and hype – something Watt talks about in the video.
“That’s just chatter,” he said of it in the video. “Because around here, success is owned. It’s leased. And rent? That s---’s due every damn day.”
The video features last season’s heroes, including CJ Stroud, Will Anderson Jr., DeMeco Ryans and more. It also shows the new additions of Danielle Hunter, Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon.
