HOUSTON — The Houston Texans are dealing with injuries on both sides of the ball and on Monday, the team reportedly brought in a familiar face to help fill some of the voices.
The Texans brought safety Kareem Jackson back to Houston. For Jackson, it’s a return to the team that drafted him. Houston made Jackson their first-round pick in 2010 out of Alabama.
Jackson played nine years in Houston before leaving via free agency for Denver, where he’s been since the 2019 season.
Jackson was released by the Broncos on Monday. He was picked up on waivers by Houston a day later.
According to the Associated Press, Jackson has been fined five times, ejected twice and suspended twice this season for illegal hits.
Jackson and Texans' head coach DeMeco Ryans were teammates with the Texans in 2010 and 2011.
The team placed defensive back Jimmie Ward on the injured list.
