HOUSTON — The Houston Texans will host the Jacksonville Jaguars in a division showdown Sunday at noon in a game you can watch live on KHOU 11.

A big question mark for the Texans was the health of some of their key offensive weapons and the Friday injury report helped with the answer.

We’ll start with the running back position. Both Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce missed last Sunday’s loss to the Vikings.

On Friday, Mixon was a limited participant in practice for the first time since suffering an injured ankle against the Bears two weeks ago. He’s officially listed as questionable for this Sunday. You may remember Mixon was hurt when the Bears' T.J. Edwards tackled him in what Mixon said was an illegal hip-drop tackle. A flag wasn't thrown, but the league stepped in and after reviewing it, agreed with Mixon and fined Edwards more than $16,000, according to CBS Sports.

As for Pierce, he didn’t practice on Friday and is officially listed as out with a hamstring injury.

When it comes to the receivers, we’ve been watching Tank Dell and Nico Collins. Dell, who suffered a chest injury, didn’t practice on Friday and is officially out for the Jacksonville game. Collins has been dealing with a hamstring injury, but was a full practice participant on Friday, so it’s looking like quarterback C.J. Stroud will have him as a target.

We also learned tight end Dalton Schultz, who had an injured ankle, was a full participant in practice, too, so he should be good to go Sunday.

Houston comes into the game 2-1 with winds over Indianapolis and Chicago and a loss to the Vikings. Jacksonville is 0-3 with losses to Cleveland, Miami and Buffalo.

After Sunday’s Jaguars-Texans game, we’ll stream the postgame news conference from NRG Stadium. You can watch that live on KHOU 11+, which is free on Roku, FireTV and AppleTV.
