HOUSTON — It was another day of practice for the Houston Texans without their star rookie quarterback.
CJ Stroud was didn’t participate in Thursday’s practice, as he’s still in the league’s concussion protocol. He suffered the injury in Sunday’s 30-6 loss to the New York Jets. Several other key players were held out of practice Thursday, including receiver Nico Collins (calf), defensive end Will Anderson Jr. (ankle) and Blake Cashman (hamstring).
Offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil, who didn’t practice Wednesday because of a knee injury, was in practice Thursday.
Editor's note: Video above is from Wednesday when Stroud was not at practice.
Houston (7-6) is in the thick of the playoff hunt and has a key division showdown with the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
If Stroud can’t go, backup Davis Mills would likely get the start with veteran Case Keenum backing him up.
