Designer behind Taylor Swift's viral Chiefs coat scores NFL licensing deal

Kristin Juszczyk, who's married to a San Francisco 49ers fullback, has been rocking her own designs at hubby's games for the last five years.

SAN FRANCISCO — Ever since Taylor Swift was spotted at a Kansas City Chiefs game in a coat with boyfriend Travis Kelce's jersey number, the life of designer Kristin Juszczyk has been a whirlwind.

Now, two weeks after one of the most famous people on the planet sported the bright red jacket, Juszczyk just scored a licensing deal with the NFL that allows her to legally use team logos in her custom designs, as first reported by Sportico.

Juszczyk already has ties to the NFL, as she is married to San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk

The NFL has certainly benefited from the obsession with Swift and Kelce's romance. Her fan base of Swifties has likely helped crush TV ratings records during the Chiefs playoff games.

'So stoked for her'

Juszczyk has been designing her own outfits to wear to hubby's games for the last five years. Other wives and girlfriends took notice and she began getting requests from them.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany wore the same coat as her new BFF Swift but with No. 15.

Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, whose husband, Jonathan Owens, plays for the Green Bay Packers, has also rocked Juszczyk's designs.

And it's not just women. Some 49ers players, such as receiver Deebo Samuel, have worn her creations this season, and actor Taylor Lautner ordered one with Detroit Lions DE Aidan Hutchinson's No. 97.

There's no word if fans who are tired of the same ol' thing in team stores and online outlets will ever see Juszczyk's merch available to the public but the NFL deal increases the chances.

Juszczyk says he's thrilled to share the spotlight with his wife.

“Just appreciation. Just so stoked for her because I know how hard she’s worked, how hard she grinded. To see Taylor wearing it and it looked incredible," he said after the Chiefs game. "It was just awesome. We were just so happy in our house.”

There may be a little friendly competition in the Juszczyk house these days now that she suddenly has more than twice as many Instagram followers as he does.

Ironically, the 49ers will face the Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Feb. 11. When the game airs on KHOU 11, fans may see a separate game of "who wore it best" on the sidelines.
