CANTON, Ohio — C.J. Stroud is now in the Pro Football Hall of Fame...or at least his jersey is.

On their X account, the Hall posted a photo of the jersey Stroud wore during his record-setting performance at NRG Stadium against Tampa Bay.

In that game on Nov. 5, Stroud threw for 470 yards -- which broke an NFL record for rookie quarterbacks -- and five touchdowns in Houston’s 39-37 comeback win over the Bucs. His 147.8 passer rating was also tops ever for a rookie.

In that game against Tampa Bay, Stroud also became the youngest NFL player to throw for at least 450 yards. Stroud was 22 years and 33 days old when the game was played, breaking a record that has stood since 1961, when Jackie Lee did it at 22 years and 94 days old.

Stroud has been shredding opponents' defense and tearing up the record books in his rookie season. Here are a few more of his accomplishments.

He is the first quarterback to not throw an interception in his first five career starts. He also holds the NFL record for most passes without an interception to start a career. His 186 passes without a pick passes Dak Prescott’s streak of 176 in 2016.

And through 9 games this season, Stroud leads the NFL in yards per game. If he finishes the season ahead in that statistic, he'll be the first rookie to do so in 84 years.

Most importantly for Texans fans, Stroud has led the Texans to a 5-4 record.
