NEW YORK (AP) - The Houston Rockets teams that won consecutive NBA titles in the mid-1990s during Michael Jordan's retirement will be the focus of an upcoming NBA TV documentary.
"Clutch City" looks at the 1994 and 1995 champions, led by Hakeem Olajuwon and coached by Rudy Tomjanovich. It will be televised Monday, June 8, at 9 p.m. EDT, an off day during the NBA Finals when the network has debuted other specials in recent years.
The Rockets rallied to beat the New York Knicks in seven games for the 1994 title, then became the only sixth-seeded team to win a championship the following season when they swept Orlando.
Tomjanovich, Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler, plus other Rockets and key opponents from that era, are among the more than 30 people interviewed for the NBA TV Originals production.
