PEARLAND, Texas Portland Trail Blazers center Marcus Camby was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana in Pearland on Monday, according to authorities.
Police said Camby, 37, was driving a black Porsche in the 2000 block of Cullen around 12:05 p.m. when he was pulled overbecause a sun screen device was blocking the front window.
Kendal Johnson, 24, was a passenger in the vehicle.
Officers detected the smell of marijuana in the vehicle and were given permission to search the car. Officers said they found multiple joints and a bag of marijuana totaling less than two ounces.
Camby and Johnson were arrested and later charged with possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone, a class A misdemeanor. They were released after posting a $2,000 bond.
If convicted, both face up to a year in jail and $4,000 in fines.
