HOUSTON — The Houston Astros are back home to try to close out the Texas Rangers at Minute Maid Park for Game 6 of the American League Championship Series. Houston has a 3-2 series lead, with the series winner moving on to the World Series.
First pitch tonight is 7:03 p.m. with Framber Valdez getting the ball for the Astros and Nathan Eovaldi starting for Texas.
There are plenty of festivities to get the game started, including Houston Comets’ star and native Texan Sheryl Swoopes throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, Houstonian Julia Cole will sing the national anthem and Houston Texans’ legend Andre Johnson giving the ‘Play Ball’ call.
All fans who head out to Game 6 will get an Astros rally towel. Fans with tickets can get into Street Fest at around 4 p.m., where there will be inflatables, games and food trucks.
As for Minute Maid Park's roof, the Astros announced it will be closed.
Fans are encouraged to get to the ballpark early, wear orange and be loud.
