HOUSTON — Astros second baseman Jose Altuve was pulled from Wednesday night's game against the Oakland A's after an at-bat in the fifth inning.

In a 2-1 count to lead off the fifth, Altuve took a swing and appeared to have tweaked something, although the Houston training staff that went to check on him didn't appear to be checking out a specific part of his body.

Altuve fouled off a bunt attempt on the next pitch to strike out.

Entering the at-bat, Altuve was 0-for-2 with flyouts to lead off the first inning and end the second inning.

Mauricio Dubón replaced Altuve at second base to start the sixth inning.

We're waiting on official word from the team to find out what happened and if it will cause Altuve to miss any time.

Astros team reporter Julia Morales said Altuve left with "right side discomfort."
