ARLINGTON, Texas — Game 5 of the American League Championship Series had plenty of twists and turns, a couple of lead changes, bad blood with benches clearing, and three ejections.
It also had what may have been one of the most clutch home runs in Astros' history, hit by someone who’s made a career of coming through when it matters most.
That home run, of course, belonged to Houston second baseman Jose Altuve. His ninth-inning blast gave Houston a 5-4 lead over the Rangers in a game Houston would hold on to win, giving them a 3-2 ALCS lead heading back to Minute Maid Park.

Altuve is also closing in on a postseason home run record. With the one on Friday, Altuve now has 26 career playoff home runs. That’s second only to Manny Ramirez, who has 29.
