HOUSTON — Three Houston Astros could have three starters in the 2024 All-Star Game next month but they need your votes.

After phase 1 of balloting ended at noon on Thursday, 2B Jose Altuve, DH Yordan Alvarez and OF Kyle Tucker moved on as finalists.

Players who ranked in the top two of their position -- or top six for outfielders -- advanced to Phase 2 of voting, which begins at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 30, and ends at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3. The winners will be announced that night.

During phase 2, fans can only vote once a day.

Phase 2 voting begins on Sunday, June 30.

The Astros got off to a rough start in a season plagued by injuries and inconsistency, but they've been hot lately, winning seven straight games. They're also one of only two AL teams to have three or more players as finalists.

Jose Altuve

As of June 27, Altuve is hitting .303 with 12 HR, 16 doubles, 35 RBIs and an OPS (on-base plus slugging) of .812. The 34-year-old veteran also has 13 stolen bases.

It would be his ninth All-Star selection.

Yordan Alvarez

The big man with the big guns has a .288 AVG with 16 HR, 17 doubles, 41 RBIs and an OPS of .876.

Kyle Tucker

Tucker is hitting .266 with 19 HR, 11 doubles, 40 RBIs and an OPS of .979. He also has 10 stolen bases.

The 2024 All-Star Game will be played on July 16 at Globe Life Field in Arlington.
