HOUSTON — The Houston Astros didn't renew the contract of longtime third base coach Gary Pettis.
Pettis, 66, spent 10 years with the Astros and has been a coach for 27 years. He worked with three managers during his time in Houston.
In 2020, the team announced that Pettis was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and would miss the rest of the season.
