HOUSTON — Before Game 1 of the ALCS on Sunday, the Houston Astros announced the roster that will take on the Texas Rangers.
Reliever Kendall Graveman, who the Astros traded for earlier this season, was left off the roster as he recovers from a shoulder injury.
The Astros roster includes 13 pitchers and 13 position players after outfielder Jake Meyers was replaced by right-handed pitcher Ronel Blanco.
The team pointed out that two of their veterans have played in the most postseason games among active MLB players. Second baseman Jose Altuve has played 96 postseason games and third baseman Alex Bregman has seen 90.

Games 1 and 2 will be played at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Games 3, 4 and, if necessary, 5 will be played at Globe Life Field in Arlington. Should a Game 6 or 7 be necessary, the teams will return to Houston.
