HOUSTON — Alex and Reagan Bregman are getting a little spicy with their latest product launch. This time, they're dipping back into the salsa market with a new brand and new flavors.
The Houston Astros third baseman and his entrepreneur wife privately launched Wild Sol over the weekend at the Reggie Jackson Mr. October Foundation celebrity golf tournament.
Teammates Jeremy Peña, Kyle Tucker, and Mauricio Dubón chowed down on the spirited salsa at Jim Crane's Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Florida.
Others spotted sampling the hot stuff included MLB legends Jeff Bagwell and John Smoltz, NFL greats Andre Johnson, Adrian Peterson and Jim Kelly and rappers Bun B, 50 Cent, Ne-Yo and Travis Scott.
“There was a logjam at the 13th hole because people were hanging out eating salsa,” Alex laughed.
The Bregmans are planning a Texas-sized launch soon by adding their Wild Sol salsa to store shelves.
Wild Sol’s first release will include four salsas crafted using "vibrant, complex, and unexpected flavor combinations, including a splash of tequila or mezcal, which is cooked out."
"... When we put our heads together at night, all we could think about was how to perfect what we already have, and born was Wild Sol,” Alex said. “It’s a direct reflection of our hard work and the type of product we want to put our names behind.”
The Breggy Bomb BBQ sauce was their first venture into the food market and they say it's not going anywhere.
Reagan Bregman has her own jewelry collection at Shaftel Diamonds and an athleisure line.
The couple also owns several race horses that have competed at Churchill Downs and the Breeders Cup to name a few.
Oh, and as if they're not busy enough, the Bregmans are the proud parents of 18-month-old son Knox Samuel Bregman.
