Rangers' Cory Seager takes shot at Astros' Alex Bregman during victory celebration

Cory Seager told the roaring Rangers' crowd that he had one thing to say.

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Texas Rangers had their World Series victory parade in Arlington Friday, and while the team was celebrating their win, the series MVP seemingly took a shot at the Astros’ Alex Bregman.

The Rangers' Cory Seager, who earned Most Valuable Player honors in the series win over Arizona, was being introduced to the crowd. After thanking Rangers’ fans for their support during the season, Seager said he had just one thing to say.

“Everyone was wondering what would happen if the Rangers didn’t win the World Series,” Seager said to the roaring crowd.  “I guess we’ll never know.”

What did Alex Bregman say?

If that line sounded familiar, it should.  It was nearly the same quote Bregman uttered during the champagne locker room celebration after the Astros won the American League West on the final day of the regular season. The Rangers spent nearly the entire season in the top spot.

You can see that video from Oct. 1 below.

It should make for an interesting start to the 2024 season between these two division rivals!
