A Pizza Hut delivery just broke a record for highest delivery. And no, it didn't happen in Colorado.
Randall Blackford, the general manager of Pizza Hut Africa, hiked to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro with the pizza, setting a Guinness World Records title for the highest altitude pizza delivery on land at a height of 19,341 feet.
It took four days for the pizza to reach the peak after leaving the Tanzania restaurant, according to the Guinness World Records. After working up an appetite, Blackford and his team ate the large pepperoni pizza at the top.
Blackford made the May 9 delivery with coworkers and professional guides.
The trek was made to celebrate the restaurant's new location in its 100th country, Tanzania. Pizza Hut is the first pizza restaurant company to have locations in 100 countries, according to a press release. The milestone location is in Dar Es Salaam and provides seating for 90 people.
