An investigation is now underway in the death of a woman who was hit by a pickup truck Wednesday morning, according to police.
The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. along the 5600 block of the North Freeway. The driver of a white Toyota Tundra pickup truck exited Parker Road and struck the victim at the bottom of the exit ramp.
The woman was transported to Ben Taub Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her identity has not been released.
The driver remained at the scene and was questioned and released. No charges have been filed.
