Texas State students face alcohol charges after RA's fatal leap from first-floor window

Some Texas State University students have been charged with alcohol-related counts after a resident adviser jumped out a dormitory first-floor window, hit her head and died.

SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Some Texas State University students have been charged with alcohol-related counts after a resident adviser jumped out a dormitory first-floor window, hit her head and died.

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and campus police Friday announced charges over the May 3 incident that killed 24-year-old Eirin Hicks.

TABC says 19-year-old Christopher Williams is charged with making alcohol available to minors and possession of a driver s license issued to someone else. Williams, who surrendered May 31 and is free on bond, didn t immediately comment.

Williams and 19-year-old Kristin McCreery, who jumped out the window and hurt her back, are charged with interference with public duties and making a false report.

Williams, McCreery and five others are charged with minors in possession of alcohol.

McCreery s no longer listed as a TSU student.
