CLEVELAND, Texas One of 20 suspects accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old Cleveland girl in 2010 has now been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The Liberty County Sheriff s Office was on the hunt for Rayford Tyrone Ellis Jr. Tuesday in connection with the incident, which happened on CR 331 on July 15, 2012.
Investigators said the details of the alleged assault were not yet known, but they believe Ellis is aware that law enforcement is searching for him, and that he s gone on the run.
Ellis is currently out on bond awaiting trial for a previous manslaughter charge, as well as the charges in the sex-assault case.
