Results of investigation into Border Patrol response to Uvalde school shooting to be released

HOUSTON — The findings of another investigation into the response to the May 2022 Uvalde school shooting are set to be released to the public on Thursday.

It will provide people with a closer look at the response of the nearly 150 Border Patrol agents who responded to the scene.

Several KHOU 11 News sources who have been briefed on the upcoming report said it will be about 2,000 pages long and be released to the public. The sources said they hadn't seen the full report prior to its release.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesperson said their office of professional responsibility conducted a comprehensive review of their response to the massacre.

"CBP’s Office of Professional Responsibility has conducted a comprehensive review of the agency’s response to the tragic events that took place at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. CBP will share its findings with the Uvalde community and the public soon," the spokesperson said.

The sources didn't get into the specifics of the report.

It will be the latest investigation to release findings on the shooting at Robb Elementary School.
