HOUSTON - Out of 250 teams, one from Houston won the Houston Rodeo's 2016 World Championship Barbecue Cook-Off on Saturday.
It was a Texas-sized competition with teams from around the country and even the UK and Japan, all hungry for bragging rights and hoping to be crowned the kings of barbecue.
The team that won the championship, Bulldog Mountain Cooking Crew, said they have been competing in the cook-off for 31 years.
"I'm so excited. It's been a hope and a dream for many many years. It's very exciting." said Mike Wells, one of the team members.
