Brandon Rottinghaus
Brandon Rottinghaus is the KHOU 11 political analyst who has also provided commentary on national and Texas politics for the New York Times, Washington Post, Politico and dozens of media outlets.
The native Texan is a political science professor at the University of Houston with a Ph.D. in political science from Northwestern University.
Rottinghaus has written several books, including "Inside Texas Politics" and "Inside American Government."
He is the co-founding designer of the Presidential Proclamations Project at UH, an online resource documenting presidential use of unilateral powers through executive proclamation.
Carroll Robinson
Carroll G. Robinson is a former Houston City Council member who is currently an associate professor at Texas Southern University. He is also a former associate dean of external affairs at TSU's Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs.
Robinson's areas of specialty include policy and politics, economics and policy, law and policy and climate change policy.
He previously worked in the Texas Legislature as chief of staff and general counsel to Texas State Senator Rodney Ellis of Houston.
Robinson is active and holds life memberships in the NAACP and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He also holds memberships with the National Bar Association, American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, Houston Lawyers Association and Houston Bar Association.
Dr. Michael Adams
Dr. Michael O. Adams is the Director of the Master of Public Affairs Graduate Program (MPA) at Texas Southern University’s Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs.
Adams joined TSU in 1983 and worked his way through the ranks as a professor before being appointed director.
In 2008, he was honored with the Texas Southern University Research Scholar Award, the School of Public Affairs Research Scholar Award and the Quiester Craig Teaching Award.
As an avid scholar in public affairs, Adams has co-authored several books including "Readings in American Political Issues" and "Public Administration."
Orlando Sanchez
Orlando Sanchez served six years on the Houston City Council and 12 years as Harris County treasurer. During his tenure, he won numerous awards and recognition for providing transparency to the voters of Harris County.
Sanchez came to Houston as a child after fleeing Communist oppression in Cuba with his family.
He’s a graduate of Bellaire High School and the University of Houston and a veteran of the United States Air Force and the Texas Air National Guard.
Sanchez is a life member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and the 100 Club of Houston. He is chairman of the University of Houston Foundation Board of Trustees and served as its investment committee chairman.
