HARRIS COUNTY -- A police chase early Saturday morning in west Harris County ended when the suspects' vehicle got a flat tire.

Houston police tried pulling over a man for driving without his headlights on at Clay and Hempstead roads around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Police say the driver refused to stop and led police on a high-speed chase when the suspect got a flat tire on Hammerly Boulevard at Bingle Road where he lost control of the car and slammed into a road sign. Police say three men and one woman were inside the vehicle, and all four were taken into custody.

Police say the car was not stolen, but they police the suspects fled because there was an unregistered gun was found inside the car. Police say the driver faces evasion and possession of a weapon charges. It is unknown what charges – if any – the other suspects face.
