HOUSTON Pastor Ed Young, of Second Baptist Church, is recovering at St. Lukes hospital after undergoing a triple bypass Thursday, according to a spokesperson.
Thespokesperson forthe 73-year-old pastorsaid the 90-minute procedure went well and Young is expected to remain in the hospital a few days for recovery.
Young was taken to the hospital Wednesday after complaining of tightness in his chest.He was given a stress test and it was determined that surgery was necessary.
A stent was placed in Young s heart in 1988 for blockage.
