HOUSTON — Garth Brooks is being sued by a woman who claims he sexually assaulted her in 2019 while she was working as a hairstylist and makeup artist for the country music star, according to a CNN report.

The lawsuit was filed in California on Thursday. CNN said it reached out to Brooks for comment, but representatives for him didn't immediately respond.

Previously, Brooks shot down the claims and called the allegations made by "Jane Roe" false and fabricated.

According to the lawsuit, Roe claimed she had several inappropriate encounters with Brooks and was raped by him on a work trip in 2019.

The lawsuit says Roe started working for Brooks' wife, Trisha Yearwood, in 1999. In 2017, she started doing hair and makeup for Brooks.

In the lawsuit, Roe claims Brooks repeatedly exposed his genitals, talked about sexual fantasies and sent explicit text messages.

She claimed she was at Brooks' house in 2019 when he walked out of the shower naked in front of her and forced her to touch his genitals.

Another allegation is from 2019, too. Roe said she and Brooks flew to California on his private plane so he could go tape a Grammy tribute performance in May that year. She said that when they got to their Los Angeles hotel, Brooks had booked a suite with only one bedroom. She claimed that when they got to the room, he showed up in the bedroom doorway naked and raped her.

Brooks also filed a complaint against Roe claiming that her attorney sent him a letter about the alleged sexual misconduct after he declined her request for a salary and medical benefits.
