Ryan Anderson has agreed to a four-year, $80 million deal with the Houston Rockets, a person with knowledge of the deal told USA TODAY Sports. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the deal can't be formalized until the free agency moratorium lifts on July 7.
Anderson spent the past four seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans, where he typically came off the bench. Last season, he averaged 17.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and shot 42.7% from the field. At 6-foot-10, he's one of the NBA's top three-point shooting big men, but struggles on the defensive end.
Before New Orleans, he spent his rookie season with the Nets (New Jersey) and then three seasons with the Orlando Magic.
