Scottish DJ and record producer Calvin Harris is out of commission for at least the weekend following a car accident in Los Angeles Friday night.
Harris, whose real name is Adam Wiles, was riding in an SUV en route to the airport to catch a flight to Las Vegas for a Saturday show when it was hit by a Volkswagen Beetle convertible carrying a group of teens that crossed the center line, TMZ reports.
A statement on his official Facebook page confirmed he'd been in an accident but did not go into great detail: "Adam's transport was involved in a collision this evening on the way to the airport. As a result, he will be unable to perform at (Las Vegas club) Omnia tonight. He has been examined by doctors and told to rest for a few days."
TMZ says Harris, the boyfriend of pop star Taylor Swift, was taken to a hospital to be treated for a facial laceration, but the gossip site says he left against medical advice after learning a private room was unavailable.
The driver of the VW and at least one passenger were also hospitalized, with what are reported to be more serious injuries.
