MONT BELVIEU, Texas -- Officials say a Mont Belvieu police detective has been suspended as he faces a charge of indecency with a child.
Mont Belvieu Police Chief Virgil Blasedel said detective Robyne Koch, 52, was indicted by a Chambers County grand jury for indecency with a child assault on a family member.
Police said the incident involves Koch s step daughter.
The Mont Belvieu Police Department learned about the investigation in September. At that time, Koch was put on leave with pay. This week Koch was put on leave without pay pending termination.
Koch has been a detective with the department since 2002. He has been a peace officer since 1993.
