MILWAUKEE — A Milwaukee man has been charged with beating a man to death and recording it on the victim's own Snapchat account.

Devin Katzfey, 20, and Sarah Zakzesky, 20, are both facing charges of first-degree reckless homicide, as parties to the crime, in connection with the death Monday of Delvin Mendoza-Chaparro, 20.

An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for Katzfey, according to state court records. He is expected to have formal charges filed against him in coming days.

Zakzesky was being held Thursday in Milwaukee County jail on a charge of first-degree reckless homicide. After an initial court appearance, her bail was set at $50,000.

According to the criminal complaint:

Mendoza-Chaparro was found in an alley with his pants down, no shoes or socks and severely beaten around the neck and head. It was 14 degrees.

On the victim's Snapchat account, investigators found three videos. One shows Mendoza-Chaparro, wearing the same blue Marquette sweatshirt as when he was found dead. He is lying on a floor with blood coming from his face but appears to be alive.

A voice, later identified as Katzfey, says, "You got knocked the (expletive) out bitch," and identifies himself as Superman.

In a second video, the victim is on his side by a doorway, in the same sweatshirt, but without pants. The same voice appears to be operating the iPhone, and then reverses the camera to show himself and say, "You hear me, that's what happens when you try to steal."

The person speaking matched prior booking photos of Katzfey.

A third video shows the victim being kicked when he tries to get up off the floor.

Zakzesky told investigators that on Sunday night, she, her roommate, Katzfey and his brother all were smoking marijuana at her apartment when Mendoza-Chaparro contacted someone to say he was coming over. Zakzesky said she fell asleep before he did.

About 9 a.m., she said Katzfey woke her up and told her that he found a bong, a pipe and other items in Mendoza-Chapman's jacket. Katzfey then grabbed the sleeping victim, dragged him into the kitchen and began beating him.

She said she also punched and kicked the victim a few times.

She then drove Katzfey and the unconscious victim to the spot where they dumped the body. She told police she suggested that they go a hospital, but Katzfey said no.
