HOUSTON - A woman witnessed her husband being shot and killed Friday evening outside of a convenience store at Yellowstone and England, according to Houston police .
Around 9:45 p.m. two men approached the victim as he was closing up the store and locking the front door.
The suspects held the victim at gun point, attempted to rob him and eventually shot him in the head.
The suspects went through the victim's car, possibly looking for the store's money bag, detectives said. When they didn't find it, the suspects took off on foot and got away.
The victim's wife was on the scene, in her own car with the money bag. Detectives believe the suspects didn't see her at the time. Authorities are looking at surveillance video to get a better idea of the suspects' identities.
The incident is under investigation at this time.
