Deputies looking for woman who allegedly stole missing French bulldogs after claiming to be owner

The dogs were found by a neighbor who posted them to a NextDoor page to find the owner. The woman responded to the post, claiming they were hers, deputies said.

Harris County Precinct 4 deputies are looking for a woman who they said stole two missing French bulldogs out of Tomball, claiming they were hers.

It happened back on Jan. 13. Deputies said a neighbor in the area found the missing dogs and posted it on the community's Nextdoor page with the hopes of finding the owner. The woman responded to the post, claiming the dogs were hers and picked them up, deputies said.

The actual owner later responded to the NextDoor post, only to realize their dogs were already claimed, deputies said.

Video surveillance captured the woman who deputies said took the dog. She was wearing a gray coat, black pants and red shoes, deputies said.

Constable Mark Herman said if you have any information regarding the identity of the woman, you are urged to call 281-376-3472.
