Woman loses arm in violent crash with big rig on Sam Houston Parkway in Pearland

Precinct 7 deputies are trying to determine if weather was a factor because the roads were wet when the crash happened.

PEARLAND, Texas — A woman lost her arm in an overnight crash with an 18-wheeler in Pearland.

It happened in the westbound lanes of South Sam Houston Parkway East near Cullen.

Precinct 7 deputies are trying to determine if weather was a factor because the roads were wet when the crash happened.

The woman in the car was rushed by ambulance to Ben Taub Hospital with an amputated arm.

The main westbound lanes were closed after the crash but vehicles were able to pass in the right pay toll lanes.
