HOUSTON - The Houston Fire Department says window washers were stuck on an Uptown-area business tower Monday afternoon.
HFD responded to a high angle rescue at 5555 San Felipe at around 12:20 p.m. Monday.
Jay Evans with HFD said the window washers were stuck because of a power outage, but they were in no immediate danger.
Views from Air 11 showed the workers' scaffolding about half way up the 41-story tower.
Officials kept an eye on the two workers while waiting for the power to come back on, but it was ultimately determined the pair should be rescued.
A ladder was dropped into the scaffolding from a nearby window, and the workers were rescued at around 1:30 p.m.
It's not known what caused the power outage.
