Train hits truck that was reportedly stuck on Waller County tracks

According to the Waller County Sheriff's Office, the Union Pacific train couldn't stop in time.

WALLER COUNTY, Texas — A train hit a truck that was reportedly stuck on railroad tracks in Waller County Wednesday, and now people are being asked to avoid the area.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. along the tracks at Riley Road and FM 1774. 

According to the sheriff’s office, the Union Pacific Train couldn’t stop in time and hit the truck.

The road was shut down and the sheriff’s office was asking people to use different routes around the wreck.

The good news -- there have been no reported injuries.
