WALLER COUNTY, Texas — A deputy with the Waller County Sheriff's Office has died after an apparent medical issue while he was on duty Friday night, the sheriff's office said Saturday morning.
The sheriff's office said deputy John 'Eddie' Flemmons had served with them since March 2023.
"He also set the foundation for many deputies' careers as a patrol field training officer," WCSO said in a social media post.
The Waller Police Department also took to Facebook to offer their condolences.
"Deputy Flemmon's dedication to duty, service to community, and unwavering commitment to public safety will always be remembered," WPD said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, colleagues, and all those impacted by his passing."
