A man was caught on camera attacking and stabbing his wife after she made a request for divorce, Turkish news media reports.
The incident was recorded Monday by a street surveillance camera.
According to Hurriyet Daily News, the husband threatened bypassers who tried to stop him, all while continuing to stab his wife. The video shows him making a phone call, reportedly to confess his crime to police and turn himself in.
The video goes on to show one of the bystanders using a bucket to defend himself all while grabbing the woman and pulling her to safety. She reportedly survived the attack, and her husband was arrested at the police station.
HDN reports that Turkey, like many parts of the world, is suffering from a rise in domestic violence cases.
