Ice sculptures are absolutely stunning. These glistening, lithe tributes to angels and swans transform any barbecue into a garden party.
So when a Phoenix meteorologist knocked over an ice-shaved deer at the Phoenix Zoo, he ruined their annual Zoolights event.
Two ice sculptors had been hard at work cutting ice deer and other holiday wildlife since 1 a.m. on Thursday morning. The ice sculptures were custom creations intended to give the Phoenix zoo a festive feel for their much-anticipated lights display.
Forecaster James Quinones interviewed the ice artists, who spoke on the delicate nature of ice. He then bumped into the deer sculpture and destroyed it!
