CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – A march celebrating women's equality had several beach goers in Corpus Christi doing a double take Sunday afternoon.

A group of women and even men marched at McGee Beach along the bay front in Corpus Christi.

The demonstration was in support of Go-Topless Day, which is also going on in other cities across the country.

Some of the women chose to go topless during the march. The group says it's their right, but some people at the beach wish they had chosen a less family-friendly area for the march.

Some beach goers called and made complaints with police.

"We did get a few calls. I spoke to the people who called in and explained that they went through the proper legal procedures. They got a permit," Corpus Christi Police Lt. Timothy Frazier said. "They are doing it legally and there is nothing we can do."

Police say no law was broken by the march and it was well within their right.
