COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The Starbucks holiday cup will feature a design created by a Texas A&M University student.
The "intricately-drawn poinsettias" were designed by Christina Anderson, a senior landscape architecture student.
Starbucks will have her cups in stores in Latin America and East Asia.
Anderson received a call during dinner on night when she heard the news.
Anderson says “I have a lot of friends who live abroad and like to travel and they’ve been sending me pictures with my cup design."
Starbucks flew Anderson to New York for the unveiling of the cup designs early November.
She is currently in Germany studying abroad.
Starbucks has 13 holiday cup designs across the globe.
