CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- U.S. officials confirmed Tuesday that 41-year old Gail Minglana Martinez, a woman with strong ties to the Coastal Bend, has passed away. She was injured during the terrorist attack in Brussels, Belgium, March 22.
The Minglana family is originally from Corpus Christi. Gail spent some of her early years here. She graduated from Flour Bluff High School in 1992 and was very involved at the school: playing varsity tennis, singing in choir and being a member of student council.
Part of the Minglana family still lives in Flour Bluff. Because Air Force families move around often, the immediate Martinez family currently does not live here.
